Bankruptcy

If you are overwhelmed by the constant harassment of creditors and you would like to move past this difficult time in your life, Attorneys Bruce L. Mielziner and Kevin R. McMillan can help you through the maze of filing bankruptcy under the new bankruptcy law to emerge with confidence. We represent clients throughout Northeast Ohio including the counties of Cuyahoga, Summit, Lake, Geauga, Lorain, and Ashtabula which includes the cities of Cleveland, Akron, Mentor, Painesville, Chardon, Lorain, and Ashtabula.

The new bankruptcy law that took effect in October of 2005 was portrayed as a change that would make it impossible to file bankruptcy. However, that is not the case. In fact, less than 10% of the cases filed as Chapter 7 bankruptcies have been affected by the new law. You can still file for Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy, but it is now even more important to have the assistance of an experienced bankruptcy attorney to guide you through the process and to meet the detailed requirements of the law.

Attorneys Bruce L. Mielziner and Kevin R. McMillan have nearly 50 years of combined experience assisting clients with their bankruptcy needs. They provide direct and competent counsel to individuals and small businesses according to their unique and particular situations.

At Kabat, McMillan, Mielziner & Sobel, you will meet in person with an attorney (not an assistant) to evaluate your personal circumstances to direct and craft a solution tailored to your particular needs. We will advise you on whether to file bankruptcy, and if so, whether a Chapter 7, Chapter 13, or other personal bankruptcy solution is best for you. We also represent small businesses and their owners in bankruptcy related matters.

BANKRUPTCY MATTERS FOR BUSINESSES
